Both Greg & myself are certified Apple geeks and owners of multiple computers, phones and other gadgets. Last week something I've been waiting for for months finally happened.
With the iOS 4.3 update for your iPhone / iPod Touch or iPad and a £99/$99 Apple TV any videos that will already play on your device can now be watched on your TV via Airplay. How awesome is that, I've already watched Ride On, Head First and End Search this weekend.

All videos that we've uploaded ourselves will work, unfortunately some companies haven't got pro Vimeo accounts(!), so they won't work, and neither will any Props videos(though I hope they're working on a mobile solution).

To celebrate our first Birthday, Bicycle Union have been kind enough to supply us with the prize package above. All you need to do is guess the Union team rider in this picture.

The BMX Movie Database is 1 year old today, unfortunately Jimmy Rushmore has eaten most of the cake. To celebrate we're having a competition, details to be posted later.

Nearly a year in the making, Rhys Coren's article on BMX VHS has finally made it into Ride UK.

Notwithstanding we didn't even get a fucking mention, we do have sections of 25 of the 35 video's already on the site.

Welcome to the BMX Movie Database, inspired by Chris Hill-Scott's music list, the IMDB and a rapidly fading memory we felt that someone needed to collate all the BMX movies from times past and into the future.

If you're a company with a huge back catalog of movies, or an independent producer of only one, we want your films listed, even if you don't want to put the sections online.

We DON'T WANT YOU TO RIP MOVIES you didn't produce. All the sections we have embeded we've found already on the internet, or have received permission from the content owners to rip.

But let's be honest, entering the 1000's of movies is an unenviable task, that we're never going to be able to complete on our own. So instead of getting salty that we haven't got your favourite movie, register on the site dig out your VCR/DVD player, crack open a cold one, and enter all the details.

Every entry will be checked by our team of moderators before going live on the site, and if you disagree with the details on any video we have up, hit the challenge button and tell us what's up.
